Hurting Want Help
Stress is a normal part of life and can be a positive when alerting us to certain problems or it can be a negative if relief and rest are not properly taken.
Stress comes from life situations, but it can also come from perceptions about life situations, such as worries about failure, perfectionist tendencies and even the “what if’s”. Without proper relief, stress can manifest itself physically in many ways such as headaches, upset stomach, elevated blood pressure, chest pain, and problems sleeping. Continual stress can lead to sickness and disease.
Stress affects the mind, body, and spirit.
It is harmful to our relationships.
Stress when not controlled it controls us.
When we are feeling stressed we must put forth the effort of gaining God’s perspective through His Word.
Spend time alone to nurture your relationship with God and seek His help. He desires to give you rest and wisdom. God created the Sabbath as a day of rest. In our society we do not take the time to acknowledge the importance of physical rest and often times confuse it with laziness.
Sharing your burdens with a trusted friend provides the opportunity to discuss, reason, and receive wise counsel. It is so important we rid our lives of busyness and live with purpose. When we stand before our Creator, we want to know that our time was used wisely.
Understanding our limits and ensuring we have balance in our life helps us spend more time with the things of true importance. It is our responsibility to double check our perspectives and purpose, to laugh and enjoy life.
