Hurting Want Help
God created you with a need for relationships
From birth we seek attachment and connection with others. Genesis explains how we are made in the image of a triune God who exists and operates in a pure intimate function. As a result, people need intimacy with God and other people. Since the fall of man and our sinful nature, true intimacy has been tainted. Adam and Eve blamed one another and refused to take on their own responsibility, and intimacy became difficult to achieve. Thus, we experience loneliness.
Continual loneliness comes when you have persistent feelings of not belonging or being misunderstood. It is important that we understand the source of our loneliness.
Perhaps loneliness is based on a perception, a perception that can be changed.
The way you perceive yourself, life and the way you think others perceive you is a powerful key in the fulfillment of relationships. Loneliness can also be part of a healthy process of grieving. Natural grief is healed by time, along with maintaining good relationships.
Having intimate connection
Recognition and understanding the source of our loneliness are the first steps in moving toward a better future.
Every human being longs for intimacy, it is the way we were made. However, it is essential that we understand that loneliness at its core comes from the lack of intimacy with God.
As we seek to know God and develop an intimate bond with our Creator, He will help in restoring all of our relationships.
